A memorial plaque to Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shaukat Altayevich Altayev has been unveiled in Almaty.
Sh.A. Altaev is a well–known scientist, the author of a progressive trend in the mining industry.
– Shaukat Altayevich was distinguished by his practical approach to business," said Abdurasul Zharmenov, Director General of the National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician, in his welcoming speech on the occasion of the unveiling of the memorial plaque. – The economic effect of the introduction of his developments related to the creation of new construction materials for the first time in the world was estimated at several million rubles. This indicator speaks for itself. Few scientists can name such achievements in their biographies.
In turn, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician Murat Zhurinov noted:
The unveiling of the memorial plaque is a well–deserved tribute to the academician, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, and innovative scientist who made a huge contribution to the development of mining science and the mining industry in the country.
Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, academician Valikhan Bishimbayev, noting the merits of Sh.A. Altayev, emphasized the interdisciplinary approach of the scientist in the implementation of his activities. This is especially true nowadays, when science as a whole is interdisciplinary in nature.
– We must not forget the honored people, the people who created the history of our state. The continuity of generations is important. The name of Shaukat Altaevich is written in golden letters in the annals of mining science of Kazakhstan and his memory is perpetuated. A memorial plaque has been unveiled, and the book "Shaukat Altaev" from the Onegeli Omir series has been published," stated Nadir Nadirov, Vice President of the Engineering Academy of Sciences, academician, friend and colleague of Sh.A. Altaev.
Sh.A. Altaev left a wonderful legacy – more than 600 published works, including monographs, pamphlets, copyright certificates and patents. His contribution to the development of mining science and the mining and metallurgical industry has been recognized with awards of various merits, including the Kurmet Order.
