Innovative technologies in the mining industry: reduction of mineral losses and improvement of working conditions

12.02.2025

Scientists of the Branch of the National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan "D.A. Kunaev Institute of Mining" took part in the largest international event of the mining industry – the symposium "Miner's Week-2025" in Moscow.

The event has been held for more than 30 years and is an important platform for discussing current issues and innovations in the mining industry. This event attracts leading experts and scientists, brings together experts to share knowledge and promote new technologies.

Kazakhstani scientists shared their developments for the domestic mining industry. Among them is the technology of developing hard-to-reach deposits. The use of this technology reduces the loss of minerals in the array. Scientists have demonstrated this using the example of the Zhezkazgan deposit.

The methodology of technical and technological audit at quarries is presented. With the help of this technique, specialists can find a more efficient way of mining operations with an economic effect of more than 1 billion tenge per year.

A new methodology for managerial decision-making has been proposed to optimize all stages of the operation of geotechnological quarry complexes.

The innovative automated ventilation control system for underground mines aroused the interest of the participants. Such systems are necessary to ensure satisfactory working conditions and significantly enhance employee safety. Scientists are confident that their own production and software using artificial intelligence will make it possible to achieve economic feasibility and create comfortable working conditions.
