A plant with Kazakh technologies will be built in Mongolia for $100 million. About this LS was informed by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development.
According to the information, Kazakhstan will help Mongolia to establish the production of an innovative ferrosilicon aluminum alloy.
"The project cost is estimated at $100 million. The customer is the Mongolian side," the ministry explained.
MIIR noted that the plant will operate using Kazakh technology. However, the cost of the technology has not been announced. At the same time, the ministry stressed that the project is planned to be implemented in 2020-2021. The capacity of the enterprise will be 60 thousand tons of ferrosilicoaluminium per year. The finished products are planned to be delivered to China, Japan and Korea.
At the same time, it should be recalled that during the Kazakh-Mongolian business forum, the parties agreed to build a gold and silver processing plant. However, MIIR reported that the information on this project is confidential.
"In accordance with the terms of the concluded contract for the construction of a refining plant in Mongolia, any information is confidential. The project will be the first major investment of Kazakhstan's technologies in Mongolia," the ministry noted.
Earlier it was reported that during the meeting, an agreement was signed between the National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials and the Mongolian Coeus Consulting on the establishment of a joint venture to produce an innovative ferrosilicon aluminum alloy.
