On May 26, 2025, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between the RSE "National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (RSE "NC KPMS RK") and JSC "Kazakh-British Technical University" (JSC "KBTU").
KBTU is one of the leading technical universities in the region. The University works in partnership with the global academic community, corporate and public sectors on the fundamental values of quality, academic integrity and openness. KBTU is a world–class university engaged in scientific research, education and training of the scientific elite and highly qualified personnel for various spheres of the global economy.
The Memorandum provides for cooperation between the Parties in the field of education and science, aimed at promoting the effective development of higher and postgraduate education systems, as well as the development of innovative and scientific and technical cooperation in the implementation of joint research and development programs, in order to:- development of Kazakhstani technologies and innovations;
- organization of scientific internships for teaching and research staff, students (bachelor's, master's and doctoral students);
- promoting information about the Parties' activities in the media;
- exchange of experience and results of work in innovative and scientific-technical fields of activity;
- promotion and dissemination of developments;
- implementation of applied research in innovative, scientific, technical and educational fields of activity;
- scientific and methodological support of projects and expert activities;
- exchange of experience and results in educational and research fields;
- implementation of measures aimed at the development of innovations, including patent activities, technology transfer and participation in grant commercialization projects;
- implementation of measures aimed at the accreditation and certification of the equipment available to the parties, including the interlaboratory comparison;
- active cooperation in other areas of activity agreed upon by the Parties.
The forms of joint events are: symposiums, seminars, conferences, round tables, advanced training and professional retraining courses, master classes, internships, implementation of joint research projects and commercialization projects.
The parties expressed confidence that the signing of the memorandum would become the basis for long-term and fruitful cooperation aimed at solving urgent industry problems and training highly qualified specialists.
