On April 19-20, 2012, an international scientific and practical conference "Innovative technologies for integrated processing of Turkmenistan's natural Resources" was held in Ashgabat, attended by representatives of 25 countries from Romania, Japan, the Czech Republic, Austria, Portugal, Bulgaria, Finland, India, China, Italy, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan., Tajikistan, etc.
The conference was held on the initiative and with the support of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The Organizing Committee carried out the selection of reports for participation in the conference on a competitive basis and provided full funding for participants.
The staff of the National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan also participated in the conference at the invitation of the Institute of Chemical Sciences, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.:

Svetlana Efremova, Chief Scientific Secretary, Doctor of Technical Sciences, with a report "An innovative solution for creating promising materials from rice processing waste".
- OlgaKulikova, Head of the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Biotesting of Natural Objects, delivered a report on "The use of biotechnological methods in the technological processes of complex processing of natural resources."
Scientists from Europe and Asia discussed topical issues in such areas as "Innovative technologies in the processing and petrochemistry of hydrocarbon resources", "Modern technologies for the integrated processing of mineral and hydromineral raw materials of Turkmenistan", "Application of new technologies for the careful use of Turkmenistan's water resources and environmental protection", "Topical issues of conservation and rational use of plant and animal wildlife of Turkmenistan and alternative energy production".
S. Efremova's report was noted among the most interesting.
The International Scientific Forum has once again demonstrated that science has no borders and the scientific community of all continents faces common tasks of rational use of natural resources, creation of knowledge-intensive, high-tech industries in order to preserve the natural environment for future generations while ensuring economic development.
