New technologies for the mining complex discussed in Nur-Sultan

18.04.2019

Scientific developments and their commercialization in the mining and metallurgical and chemical industries were discussed at a press conference at the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, a correspondent reports NUR.KZ .

At a meeting with journalists, Director of the National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abdurasul Zharmenov noted that a third of Kazakhstan's gold is produced using the Center's technologies.

"Karatau quartzite processing technology has been introduced on an industrial scale, and enterprises with investments of more than 3.5 billion dollars have been built worldwide based on the scientific developments of the Center," he said.

The scientific center also developed a technology for processing low-quality lignite ores from the Lisakovsky deposit to produce a conditioned concentrate for the first time in the world, and created a production of manganese alloys.

A new charge composition has been proposed for the production of ferrosilicon with a low content of aluminum and titanium. The production of more than 200 types of refractory materials used at a number of enterprises in Kazakhstan has been established.

"We have very good achievements in refractories, this is the KarMetKombinat in Temirtau. We are displacing imported suppliers, and we can already replace 15-20% of all refractory supplies to the KarMetKombinat. We have started supplying new generation refractory materials to the ERG Group, we are starting major implementations of copper technologies in Kazzinka, and there is a lot of work on processing nickel ores," Zharmenov said.

In addition, according to the technology of obtaining the Kazakhstansky alloy for deoxidation, modification and alloying of steel, the 1st stage of the Karaganda Complex Alloys Plant is being built in Kazakhstan.

Industrial production of the alloy has been mastered at a factory in Brazil. It is also planned to open ferroalloy production facilities in Kyrgyzstan and Iran based on the technology of Kazakhstani scientists.

"Technology is currently being commercialized in Kazakhstan and abroad. The total amount of investments in new production facilities based on them will amount to more than $ 2 billion in the near future," Zharmenov added.
