On July 21, 2025, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the RSE "National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (RSE "NC KPMS RK") and the industrial company "VEG Central Asia".
WEG Central Asia is a commercial division of the international corporation WEG (Brazil) in Central Asia. WEG Company is one of the world leaders in the field of development and production of electric machines, drive technology and integrated solutions for industrial automation, production, transmission and distribution of energy. WEG's production facilities are located in 12 countries around the world, which ensures the sustainability and high technological level of the supplied products.
The signing of the memorandum is aimed at developing partnerships in the field of information technology, digitalization of industry, as well as in innovative and scientific-technical fields. The cooperation provides for the implementation of joint research and development projects, the development of Kazakhstani technologies and the creation of joint competence centers.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed:
- to carry out joint research and applied developments in priority areas;
- to hold joint events, including scientific and practical conferences, seminars, symposiums and professional development courses;
- to share experiences and results of work in scientific, educational and innovative fields;
- promote technology transfer and commercialization of developments;
- carry out patent activities and participate in grant projects;
- to carry out measures for the accreditation and certification of equipment, including interlaboratory comparisons;
- promote information about the parties' activities in the media.
The conclusion of the memorandum opens up new opportunities for combining the scientific and engineering potential of the RSE NC KPMS RK and VEG Central Asia to implement joint projects aimed at introducing innovative technologies into the mining and metallurgical industry and related sectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
RSE NC KPMS RK will continue consistent work to expand partnerships with leading industrial, scientific and technological companies in order to introduce modern solutions and develop national science in the interests of industrial progress in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
