the 20th critical international symposium on mining planning and the choice of closures MPES2011 was held in Almaty on November 12-14, 2011.
the symposium was attended by 180 people from 30 countries, including representatives of the Ministry of Industry and new technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the administration of Almaty, the largest mining and metallurgical enterprises of Kazakhstan (ArcelorMittal Temirtau, Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, NAC Kazatomprom JSC).
< p>the symposium MPES 2011 was held in the format of a debate discussion of reports based on the study of the following key issues, presented at two full and twenty sectional meetings, as well as a poster session:
- design and planning of open and underground mining operations; selection of mining equipment and automation of mining operations; effective methods for restoring soil fertility, closing mines and removing mining waste; geomechanics and safety of mining operations, economic and technical-economic research and resource assessment;
- the solution of public problems by mining companies of industry;
- information technologies in the design and management of mining operations; environmental aspects of mining and processing processes of mineral raw materials.
