On May 23-24, 2012, a The first International Business Seminar "Kazakhstan-Europe. Advanced technologies and innovative solutions for the mining industry" (hereinafter referred to as the Seminar).

The seminar was organized by the leading scientific and production holding company of Kazakhstan in the field of mining and metallurgical complex RSE "National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan" of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with LSH International LLP with the support of world-renowned companies BASF and Endress+Hauser.

The Seminar was opened by the General Director of the RSE "National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan", Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abdurasul Zharmenov.

In his speech, A. Zharmenov pointed out the relevance of holding this seminar in the light of fulfilling the instructions of the Head of State aimed at creating an innovative environment, since the mining industry is a strategic industry in the economy of Kazakhstan, and the seminar reveals new knowledge in the field of innovative technologies in the field of mining, exploration and automation and specialized solutions for sampling and sample preparation.

The General Director of the RSE NC KPMS RK noted the importance of the symbiosis of science and business in the creation and implementation of innovations in production. "Cooperation between science and business is the most important imperative of industrial and innovative development of the republic, creation of an effective system of commercialization of scientific developments," he said.

During the seminar, an Open Discussion Forum was held, where the participants and listeners of the seminar analyzed current trends in the development of mining equipment. A constructive dialogue took place between scientists, manufacturing engineers and manufacturing consumers of mining equipment and automation systems, which made it possible to determine the choice of the necessary equipment to solve specific tasks facing each company.

Following the results of the work, the participants expressed confidence that the seminar would contribute to the expansion of ties, the transfer of innovative technologies in the field of mining, exploration and automation of mining production, which would ensure the development of geology and subsoil use in the Republic of Kazakhstan and would contribute to the effective implementation of the State Program for Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development of Kazakhstan.
