Minister of Innovative Development Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov received Director General of the National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abdurasul Zharmenov.
RSE "National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan" provides a systematic solution to the problems of mineral resources and mining and metallurgical complexes through the creation, development, implementation and transfer of innovative technologies in the cycle from extraction of raw materials to the production of products with a high degree of marketability. A distinctive feature of the center is an integrated approach to the processing of mineral raw materials, namely, the implementation of technological processes from extraction, enrichment to metallurgical processing, including their automation and digitalization. The Center carries out its scientific and scientific-technical activities in accredited analytical laboratories, experimental and experimental laboratories, as well as in an experimental factory.
Today, the human resources potential consists of 35 doctors and 80 candidates of sciences and PhD doctors, 36 academicians and 8 corresponding members, laureates of various awards. Based on the scientific and technical developments of the National Center, dozens of plants and factories have been built in different parts of the world with investments of more than 3.5 billion US dollars. The annual output of marketable products at these enterprises exceeds $ 4 billion.
A. Germenov proposes the modernization of the currently non-functioning silicon plant in the city of Navoi with the attraction of investments and the use of innovative technologies for the production of silicon and its impurities. Today, there is a high demand for steel with a high silicon content and a low ratio of elements such as aluminum, calcium, carbon, titanium, phosphorus, and chromium. In the production of a low-impurity ferromix, a pure carbon reducing agent obtained from rice processing waste is used. It is expected that the commercialization of this innovative technology will lead to the operation of the plant, the creation of additional jobs, the production of export-oriented products, as well as the rational use of production waste, which has now ceased.
The project is planned to be implemented with the involvement of scientists from the U.A.Arifov Institute of Ion Plasma and Laser Technologies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to the website of the Ministry of Innovation.
