As part of the expansion of technology commercialization and an increase in the volume of services provided, JSC National Agency for Technological Development opened technology commercialization offices (hereinafter referred to as OCT) at research institutes and universities of the republic in the number of 21 units in the period 2011-2013. OCT was designed to provide consulting, methodological and other services to technology developers.
The Technology Commercialization Office at the RSE "NC KPMS RK" was established on April 30, 2013. During the work of the OCT, familiarization events were held among the staff of the RSE NC KPMS RK and its branches with the adopted and existing Laws and legislative acts of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan regulating the activities of entities working in the innovative sector of the economy, the Rules for Grant Financing of innovative Projects, defined by Government Resolutions No.1035, 1036 and 1037 dated August 09, 2012. All employees of the branches and the head office of the RSE "NC KPMS RK" were promptly notified of the ongoing contests of development institutes by e-mailing to the academic secretaries. Consulting and information services were provided to technology developers during the preparation of application documents for tenders. During the period of the OCT's existence, dozens of projects by scientists of the Center were submitted to various competitions of development institutes (JSC "NATR", LLP "CCT of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan", etc.).
Currently, NATR JSC is considering the issues of further functioning of the OCT at research institutes/universities. Despite the decisions that have been made, in my opinion, work on the commercialization of technologies will and should continue.
To facilitate the commercialization of technologies, to properly understand the solutions needed on the way to commercialization of projects, and the stages of their implementation, NATR JSC and other development institutions have summarized and recommended a number of materials for practical use by scientists, including from the experience of foreign countries.

10 апреля в городе Астане первый заместитель генерального директора Досмурат Айткулов принял участие в V Международном экологическом конгрессе, организованном Казахстанской партией зелёных «Байтақ», с участием представителей зелёных партий, учёных и экологов из различных стран мира, а также руководителей отраслевых министерств и бизнес-структур. В рамках конгресса Досмурат Кызылбиевич выступил с докладом на тему «Проблемы переработки техногенных минеральных образований в Казахстане», в котором были рассмотрены актуальные вопросы вовлечения вторичных ресурсов в экономику, экологические вызовы и необходимость внедрения современных технологических решений. Особое внимание в выступлении было уделено существующим правовым неточностям и барьерам, ограничивающим доступ учёных к техногенно-минеральным образованиям для проведения научных исследований, а также недостаточной доступности информации о них. Указанные факторы сдерживают привлечение инвестиций и препятствуют эффективному вовлечению техногенных отходов в промышленное производство.
