Ust-Kamenogorsk, October 9, 2025 . Branch of the National Center for complex processing of Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan" Vniitsvetmet "expanded the nomenclature of benchmarks for equipment calibration, production materials and quality verification methods, updated the line of standard reference materials for the mining and metallurgical complex.
< p>Certified Reference Materials (Co) are the "pillar of precision" in modern metallurgy. They allow all industry laboratories to speak a common language, from geological exploration to final quality control. The use of certified reference materials ensures the comparability and reproducibility of the results of analyzes of ores, concentrates, industrial products and metals, thereby reducing technological risks and increasing the efficiency of production solutions.
Vniitsvetmet is a leading domestic developer of certified reference materials for the mining and metallurgical sector of Kazakhstan. Every year, specialists develop and certify 5-6 new standards, organize inter-laboratory tests with the involvement of laboratories in Kazakhstan and the CIS countries, inspect and calibrate about 200 measuring equipment. They develop standards of the international (MSO), state (GSO) and enterprise (SOP) categories, tested and certified in accordance with international requirements. These standards are used for certification of methods, demarcation of instruments, continuous quality control of raw materials and finished products.
< p>the standards"Vniitsvetmet" are already applied at the main sites of the country: "Kazzinc", KAZ Minerals Aktogay, Bakyrchik gas processing plant, Aktobe Copper Company and other enterprises. Delivery is carried out in conjunction with certificates, passports and inter — laboratory reconciliation protocols-the basis of reliability for industrial and independent laboratories.
"Metrology is the basis of exact science and efficient production". "Each standard sample is a guarantee of analytical reliability and technological reliability for industry enterprises" , — noted the head of the Department Lyudmila Yamshchikova.
< p>an updated network of certified reference materials strengthens the National Metrology base, improves measurement accuracy, and creates a culture of analytics that is in demand in the industry. For Kazakhstani enterprises, this means improving predictable processes and product quality.
