The World Congress of Ferro-alloys "INFACON XIII" will be held in Almaty

ALMATY. June 4th. KAZINFORM - The XIII World Congress of Ferro-alloys "INFACON XIII" will be held in Almaty on June 9-12 this year. The organizer is the National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Congress has been held in different countries since 1974 and gathers the best specialists from the world's leading manufacturers and consumers of ferroalloy products, as well as representatives of the scientific community. At the moment, the total number of participants in the congress is up to 400 people from 35 countries on all continents.

The determining factor in choosing Kazakhstan as an international venue for the next congress, and for the first time in the CIS, was the creation by scientists of the National Center for a unique Ferrosilicon Aluminum alloy (Kazakhstansky alloy). The official launch of its industrial production is scheduled for June 13. The participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is expected.Nazarbayev University.

Attaching great importance to the event and the start of industrial production of Kazakhstansky alloy, the heads and leading specialists of the world's largest companies POSCO, Thyssen Krupp AG, Hanwa Co.Ltd, SMS Siemag (platinum sponsor) and others have already confirmed their participation, with whom the National Center has formed a business partnership to implement the project of creating industrial production of ferrosilicoaluminium in different countries.
