Dear scientists and innovators!

As you know, on June 4, 2013, Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 579 approved the Concept of Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2020.

In order to implement the Concept, a draft decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On some measures to implement the Concept of Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2020" has been developed, which provides for the approval of a Roadmap (Action Plan) for the implementation of more than 50 activities within the framework of the Concept, which are also reflected in the innovation section of the SPFIID.

This project is aimed at optimizing policy documents in the field of innovation development and defining long-term guidelines for the development of innovation in the country.

The relevant stages of the implementation of the Concept of Innovative Development include some expected results up to 2020 in the following aspects, namely:

In accordance with this, the following positions were identified as critical technologies for the development of the mining and metallurgical industry in 2010 – 2011.:

• Technologies for the production of complex ferroalloys;
• Direct iron recovery technologies;
• Metal leaching technologies;
• Technologies for smelting wear-resistant alloys;
• Casting technologies for wear-resistant and heat-resistant products;
• Technologies of casting products from cast iron, steel, non-ferrous metals;
• Technologies of geological and geophysical methods of prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits;
• Technologies for processing man-made deposits;
• Technologies for the production of collective concentrates;
• Technologies for the production of non-ferrous metal alloys.

Today, the republic has created the necessary base for building an innovative economy. Appropriate development and infrastructure institutions have been established.

In accordance with the Action Plan of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the implementation of the State Program for Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2010-2014 (hereinafter - SE FIID), the Ministry, together with JSC National Agency for Technological Development, developed a Program for the development of innovations and assistance to technological modernization in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2010-2014, approved by Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 30, 2010 No. 1308.

The main provisions on the methodology of technology commercialization, conditions and mechanisms for providing state support for innovation activities are reflected in Government resolutions No. 1035, 1036 and 1037 of August 09, 2012, according to which JSC National Agency for Technological Development provides grant financing for innovative projects.

The Agency is the operator of 9 types of grants, which are provided for:

• advanced training of engineering and technical personnel abroad;
• attracting highly qualified foreign specialists;
• involvement of consulting, design and engineering organizations;
• implementation of management and production technologies;
