The International Conference on Atomic Energy and Nuclear Technologies brought together experts and industry veterans from Central Asian countries, where prospects for development and cooperation were discussed.
On June 23-25, Bishkek hosted an international scientific conference dedicated to the development of nuclear energy and nuclear technologies in Central Asian countries. The event was timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry and was organized with the support of the Rosatom State Corporation. The conference was attended by nuclear industry veterans from Mongolia, Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries of the region. The key topics of discussion were the role of nuclear energy in the green economy, the use of nuclear technologies in medicine, the training of young specialists and the introduction of artificial intelligence in the industry. The participants noted the importance of international cooperation and the leading role of Rosatom State Corporation as a technology leader. "The development of nuclear technologies is an integral part of scientific progress and the basis for a sustainable future. The National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic is interested in international cooperation, including with such reputable partners as the IAEA and Rosatom. It is important that the scientific community participates in the formation of safe and effective solutions for the use of peaceful atom technologies in medicine, energy and ecology," said Kanatbek Abdrakhmatov, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic."Nuclear energy is not only high technology, but also a path to sustainable development. Kyrgyzstan has the potential for peaceful uses of nuclear energy, and today it is especially important to form an expert community, share experiences and train young personnel. We, industry veterans, are ready to share our knowledge and support new initiatives in this area," said Lyudmila Evteeva, Chairman of the Union of Nuclear Energy Veterans of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Doctor of Technical Sciences Duisebaev B.O. – Head of the Competence Center of the RSE NC KPMS, chaired all meetings of the conference as the first Deputy Chairman of the IARC and gave comments on the conference reports.
