During his visit to the facility, Albert Rau got acquainted with the ongoing work on the project. For a number of objective reasons, construction is lagging behind schedule, but the process is under the control of the region's leadership. At a meeting with the project executors last weekend, Berdybek Saparbayev gave a number of instructions on optimizing the work.
As of today, the construction of the first stage of the pilot industrial site for testing technologies for forming bulk materials has been completed. An electric firing furnace has been installed. The first batch of experimental products, 3.5 tons, was fired. The generator set was delivered in June of this year. The steam turbine plant is under construction. The total cost of this site amounted to 305.7 million tenge.
The construction of a processing line has been completed at the coal and carbon-containing materials processing site, and commissioning and test runs have been carried out. 340 tons of finished products were produced, the analysis of which showed that all the main parameters of coke comply with the requirements of the technological regulations. The total cost of this site amounted to 382.7 million tenge.
The deadline for completion of the second stage of the site for testing the technology of processing coal and carbonaceous materials is currently determined by the project contractor - Q4 2014.
It should be recalled that the work on the implementation of the project for the construction of the Metallurgy Center in East Kazakhstan region is being carried out by the branch of the RSE "National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan" in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev. Initially, the National Center for the Integrated Use of Mineral Raw Materials announced the creation of 5 pilot industrial sites - for forming bulk materials and compact powder metallurgy facilities, for processing coal and carbon-containing materials, for pyrometallurgical processes, rolling production and a pilot processing plant.

Указанные факторы сдерживают привлечение инвестиций и препятствуют эффективному вовлечению техногенных отходов в промышленное производство.
