Dosmurat Aitkulov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, academician of the International Engineering Academy and the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, turned 65 on February 8, 2023!
Aitkulov D.K. is a well–known scientist in the field of metallurgy and chemical technology and a teacher – organizer of the higher school. He has passed all stages of organizational, scientific, pedagogical and professional activity – from an engineer of the department to the rector of the university and the head of the department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the 40 years of his work, he has made a significant contribution to the development of society, higher education and science in the country.
Aitkulov D. K. was a deputy of the Karaganda regional maslikhat from 2007 to 2012. In 2006, he participated in the work of the state commission for the creation of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and in 2014-2016, he was a member and head of the expert group of the Government and Parliament on the study of the state of highly qualified personnel training in universities and the implementation of state policy in the field of science in the country. Since 2016, he has been actively involved in the work of the commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on awarding nominal prizes in the field of science and state scientific scholarships for leading and talented young scientists. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the Samgau Center for Scientific and Technological Initiatives Foundation. In 2022, he participated in the creation of industry Reference Books on the best available techniques as an expert.
For special services in the field of science and education, the development of society, he was awarded the medals "10 years of Astana" and "20 years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan", a letter of appreciation from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, silver medals named after A.Baitursynov and named after Y.Altynsarin, badge "For services to the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan", "Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and "For contribution to the development of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan", medal named after Academician A.Kulenov "For his great contribution to the development of the Russian mining and metallurgical industry." In 2020, he was awarded the silver medal of P.Kapitsa is the "Author of a scientific discovery".

10 апреля в городе Астане первый заместитель генерального директора Досмурат Айткулов принял участие в V Международном экологическом конгрессе, организованном Казахстанской партией зелёных «Байтақ», с участием представителей зелёных партий, учёных и экологов из различных стран мира, а также руководителей отраслевых министерств и бизнес-структур. В рамках конгресса Досмурат Кызылбиевич выступил с докладом на тему «Проблемы переработки техногенных минеральных образований в Казахстане», в котором были рассмотрены актуальные вопросы вовлечения вторичных ресурсов в экономику, экологические вызовы и необходимость внедрения современных технологических решений. Особое внимание в выступлении было уделено существующим правовым неточностям и барьерам, ограничивающим доступ учёных к техногенно-минеральным образованиям для проведения научных исследований, а также недостаточной доступности информации о них. Указанные факторы сдерживают привлечение инвестиций и препятствуют эффективному вовлечению техногенных отходов в промышленное производство.
